Our courses are open to health professionals, technicians, rescuers, brigade members, mining, tourism, energy, environmental personnel and anyone interested in safety and health in hostile environments.
Not necessarily. Some introductory courses do not require prior experience, while others require an advanced level, aimed at professionals with healthcare or safety training.
In some cases, a physical fitness certificate or prior medical checkup is required.
Enrollment is done through the AltiMed Institute website or by direct contact with our administrative team. It requires completing a form and confirming payment.
Yes. We offer online modality and international certification valid in different countries.
We offer introductory courses, continuing education, diplomas, graduate programs and specializations in mountain medicine, rescue in extreme environments and safety in remote areas.
We have online, face-to-face and mixed (blended) modalities, combining theory and intensive field practice.
It varies according to the program: from 40 hours in introductory courses to more than 360 hours in specializations.
Courses are taught online (virtual/virtual synchronous) or in-person in the province of San Juan (Argentina) in field settings, including practices in the Andes Mountains and high-altitude mining camps.
The main language is Spanish, although some academic instances may include material or classes in English depending on the program.
To ensure pedagogical quality, the quota is usually 30 participants in practical courses.
Digital manual, practical guides, technical simulation equipment and access to the online educational platform.
Depending on the course, basic personal equipment is required (technical clothing, personal first aid kit). AltiMed provides teaching materials, digital guides and group equipment.
Yes. We have international academic endorsement from the University of Girona (UdG), a reference in mountain medicine and clinical simulation.
Evaluations combine theoretical tests, practical simulations and field performance, seeking to develop real competencies.
Recordings, digital materials and recovery policies for sessions are offered, although a minimum attendance of 80% is required to certify.
Yes. Through the agreement with the University of Girona, we offer academic instances in Spain and professional exchange programs.
The cost depends on the chosen course. Bank transfers and credit card payments are accepted. Corporate invoicing is issued and we offer corporate group discounts.
Yes. We design customized programs for sectors such as mining, tourism, energy, security forces or civil defense.
